Florida Manatee

Florida manatees (Trichechus manatus latirostris) range throughout Florida waters and individuals can move long distances seasonally. Issues endangering manatees include death from human-related and natural causes and habitat loss.
Report a distressed or dead manatee.





FWC Facts:
Two crappie species exist in Florida. Black crappie occur throughout the state, but white crappie occur in just two Panhandle rivers.
