A day on the water with Billy O.: A tale of friendship, fishing and bananas

I was left with a newfound respect for a man teaching his children to fish and get outdoors, a renewed hope for the future of fishing and the next generation of conservationists, and a reminder that fishing and a love of the outdoors brings people together.

FWC awards 10 communities BearWise funding to reduce conflicts

BearWise funding will be used to share the cost of bear-resistant trash cans, dumpsters and other equipment that will keep bears out of trash in neighborhoods and parks.

Coastal Conservation Association Florida, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and Mote Marine Laboratory launch initiative to enhance the snook fishery on Florida’s southwest coast by stocking 10,000 juvenile snook during a two-year project.
